I went along to this one with a bit of low expectations, having read numerous reviews on social media telling me how Van's voice was long gone.  But (perhaps it was due to those very expectations), he was actually on fine form this evening, I felt.  Helped, in no small way, by the superbly tight band of musicians he had around him.  

He still appeared grumpy as fuck though - giving us no encore, and at one point snarling at the band "Don't stop playing" when they were clearly winding down one particular song to a well-rehearsed close.
